Staff Bios

Veronique Cook joined NEMSB as receptionist in 2013. She brightens our office with her beautiful smile and her outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. Her warmth and professionalism are a welcome greeting to our clients and their varied needs.
     Veronique grew up in Austin and attended The University of Texas. After raising two grown daughters and experiencing her own life changes, Veronique feels she's a perfect fit for our law office (and so do we!). She believes in being an optimist and harnessing the most out of life. Veronique is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Christine Giles is our office administrator.  She has spent over 15 years in the accounting industry, including extensive work with CPAs, lenders and physicians. With NEMSB she is responsible for accounting and operations, including working with clients on their billing statements. 
     Christine is an active member of the Austin Chapter of the Association for Legal Administrators and former Chair of the Membership Committee.  Although she has lived in many parts of the U.S., Christine has happily settled in Austin with her husband, young son and a house full of four-legged friends.

Spring Liberty started her paralegal career in 1980 and  practiced for fourteen years in the family law arena. She then focused on forensic accounting for ten years, particularly family law complex property cases including tracing and characterization of separate and community property. In 2004, Spring became a Trust Officer and worked in the trust, estate and probate areas of law. Spring resumed her paralegal career in 2009, and brought her 31 years of varied experience to NOELKE ENGLISH MAPLES ST. LEGER BLAIR in 2010.  She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Spring earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from St. Edward's University.
Julie Whitson Julie Whitson fell in love with the law in her undergraduate studies and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies from Texas State University at San Marcos. She has worked in the field of Family Law since 2006 and is a member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas. Julie earned her Board Certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2013.  She enjoys spending downtime with her close network of family and friends. She is a fan of true-crime stories, Dallas Cowboys football, and Texas country music.
Carson Arkinson grew up in downtown Dallas and is a graduate of The Greenhill School and the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she majored in English Literature and Film. Her history includes work as diverse as dog training, web development, copy writing, and political and non-profit fundraising, as well as a one-year term as an AmeriCorps volunteer for College Forward in Austin. She has worked as a family law paralegal for five years, and is fulfilled by helping clients navigate through a tough time making smart decisions and staying optimistic. Her husband and two elementary school-age boys keep her busy at home, where she enjoys downtime reading and record collecting.

Kimberly A. McDonald was born in Fort Worth and has lived in the Austin area since 1992. As she divorced in 2002, she truly understands the divorce process inside and out. Kimberly is a busy single mother to her three beautiful and “perfect” children - Meagan, Shane and John.
     Kimberly has been involved in family law since 1998. She earned her Board Certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is an active member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas and the Capital Area Paralegal Association. Kimberly is currently serving on the Publication Committee of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division.
  Misti Janes has been a family law paralegal since 2001 and is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She worked in Amarillo before relocating to the Austin area. Misti is a graduate of the Paralegal Studies Program at Amarillo College and also taught the family law class for the College. Misti has been an active member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas since 2006. She was a District Director for District 7 (Amarillo and Texas Panhandle area) for 4 years before being elected as President for 2013-2014. She has enjoyed serving the paralegal community in Texas in her many different roles. Misti loves spending her free time with her husband and their three children.
